When the COVID-19 pandemic began, the City of Kawartha Lakes quickly became the province’s epicentre for the virus, following an outbreak at Bobcaygeon’s Pinecrest Nursing Home which claimed the lives of 28 residents.

The city is also ahead of schedule on several infrastructure projects and council passed the lowest tax increase in a decade.
Mayor Andy Letham spoke to Katrina Squazzin about current projects and what’s coming up for the municipality.
