Nova Scotia advocates urge Ottawa to fulfill election promise to extend EI sickness benefit

In 2019, Justin Trudeau’s Liberals campaigned on a promise to extend employment insurance sickness benefits. More than a year later, that commitment has not been met, and as Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, Nova Scotia advocates are urging Ottawa to keep its word, and fund the extension in its upcoming budget.
