The big dig out is underway as deep snow has blanketed the city. Close to 20 centimetres have covered Montreal. It’s slow going for those trying to get around. And it will take a while to clear it all away. As Global’s Tim Sargeant reports, for parents it was an unscheduled day with the kids as many schools were closed on the first snow day of the year.
