Coronavirus: Crisis intervention calls in Toronto up 61 % since last year due to COVID-19

Toronto Mayor John Tory said Wednesday data from mental health support partners shows calls to the city’s crisis intervention phone number since Jan. 1 have increased 61 per cent compared to the same time last year, adding that front-line workers are reporting high levels of burnout and people are getting more anxious about vaccine availability.
