U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced that the administration was increasing the total order for COVID-19 vaccines by 50 per cent to 600 million doses, and would be able to soon confirm the purchase of 200 million more doses – half of which are Pfizer and the other half Moderna. He said as a result there would be enough vaccine to have 300 million Americans vaccinated by the end of summer.
