Storm pond rinks in Chestermere covered with sand by city officials citing safety

Recreational hockey players feel they’re being subjected to some unfair penalties. Frozen storm ponds used as neighbourhood rinks in Chestermere are being shut down. As Jill Croteau reports, families in the area are frustrated their outdoor plans, in the midst of a pandemic, are getting put on ice.
