Quebec Premier François Legault said on Monday that he was “truly touched” by Quebecers showing solidarity in following COVID-19 measures, including the recently introduced curfew, even as some protests took place when it took effect. He went on to express the importance of the measures in terms of protecting people, especially, he said, given 51 deaths from COVID-19 were reported that day.
