During Tuesday’s COVID-19 briefing, Dr. Jas Atwal, Manitoba’s acting deputy chief provincial health officer, said it’s “possible” the new coronavirus variant could be present in the province after much travel from overseas, but it has yet to be detected. Atwal said Manitoba health officials are looking to identify it if it’s in the province through testing.
