Asked about whether Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-François Blanchet and his caucus could return to parliament if they get negative COVID-19 tests in the next few days, Canada’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Theresa Tam on Tuesday said while she could not comment specifically on the case, she reminded reporters that the quarantine period for COVID-19 is 14 days. On Monday, a party spokesperson said Blanchet and his caucus were self-isolating as a precaution after a staffer tested positive for the coronavirus.
