Conservative MP Kenny Chiu asked Hong Kong activists about the relevance between Hong Kong and the role of the special parliamentary committee on Canada-China relations on Tuesday, saying “Why are Canada-Hong Kong relations critical to the Canada-China relations?”. Several activists spoke about the historical relations since World War II and the obligation towards human rights’ atrocities carried by China in Hong Kong, Tibet, East Turkestan and other regions.
