World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus explained on Monday that Indigenous communities are especially vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic, and stated that as of July 6, there were more than 70,000 cases reported among Indigenous peoples in the Americas and over 2,000 deaths.
