Leader of the Official Opposition Conservative Andrew Scheer said on Friday that “he’s not surprised” with Justin Trudeau’s choice of his Foreign Affairs Minister to be François-Philippe Champagne, given the recent ethics commissioner disclosure on June 4 that indicated Mr. Champagne has a $1.2 million debt to a Chinese bank. Scheer brought up remarks Trudeau made in 2013, saying that he “admires China’s basic dictatorship.”
