Mayor Don Iveson said the local state of emergency will end at midnight Thursday, but stressed we’re not in the clear when it comes to the risk of COVID-19 and people must continue to follow social distancing rules to prevent a second wave of infections. He said the city is prepared to react to a resurgence of cases, if it happens, and added the city remains in need of financial help from higher levels of government.
