U.S. President Donald Trump threatened social media platforms on Wednesday saying they would “strongly regulate, or close them down,” after Twitter on Tuesday added a fact check label to his tweets about mail-in voting. It was the first time Twitter had added a fact check label to a tweet by Trump, which the president says is the latest incident in social media platforms “silencing” conservative voices.
