Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Monday that the federal government would be establishing the Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF) to provide assistance for employers unable to obtain assistance through other means. He stressed the measures outlined for the large companies were bridge loans, “not bail outs.” Trudeau also announced the federal government would be expanding the business credit availability program to mid-size companies.
