The Conservatives are calling on the government to come up with a plan specifically to help the nation’s restaurant, hospitality and tourism sectors cope with the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking in Ottawa on Monday, Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre criticized the Trudeau government, saying it’s “been a month” since some businesses have been forced to close as part of COVID-19 containment strategies without financial support from the federal government.
