Coronavirus outbreak: B.C. reports 35 new COVID-19 cases, total now at 1,445

On Saturday, British Columbia’s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reported 35 new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 1,445. She also announced three new virus-related deaths, and said that the province is working with the Mission Institution correctional facility to manage an outbreak that has affected 26 of its staff and inmates, five of whom are hospitalized.
