Treasury Board President Jean-Yves Duclos and chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Friday that the RCMP’s involvement in the enforcement of the Quarantine Act involving self-isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 was an additional measure being taken. Duclos said RCMP involvement will be rarely needed, but Tam said it would be an additional means to respond to those not abiding by current measures.
