One person was taken to hospital for burns and smoke inhalation following a house fire in Peterborough on Sunday night.
Around 11:05 p.m., Peterborough Fire Services responded to a fire in a single-family residence on George Street North.
Crews found smoke and flames from the back of the first floor and were quickly able to get the fire under control and limited to the first floor.
Damage is pegged at $150,000.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and Peterborough Fire Services are investigating the cause of the fire.
