Federal Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett told reporters on Sunday that that they had come to a “proposed arrangement” with Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs regarding the Coastal GasLink pipeline dispute, which would “honour the protocols” of the Wet’suwet’en nation. Bennett also stated that the agreement is about “rights” and “making sure that this never happens again.”
