Ontario government proposes new legal aid services act

On Monday, Ontario Attorney General Doug Downey announced that the Ontario government will introduce a new legal aid services act, cancelling future legal aid funding cuts. Downey stated that the new legislation will provide “seamless, sustainable and high quality legal aid services.”
