President Donald Trump said on Oct. 23 at the White House that since Turkey called an allegedly permanent ceasefire on Syria, the U.S. would be lifting sanctions on Turkey. Trump also said should Turkey “fail to honour its obligations,” the U.S. reserves the right to impose “crippling sanctions” on the country.
