It is an alarming statistic. According to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, every 17 minutes a woman in Canada dies from heart disease or stroke. Efforts are underway to reduce those staggering numbers. A Kelowna woman knows first-hand how critical research and awareness is. She’s suffered multiple heart attacks and is now sharing her story so that others can learn from it. Klaudia Van Emmerik reports.
