A fire early Tuesday destroyed a cottage on Cheboutequion Drive off of Northey’s Bay Road, about 50 kilometres north of Peterborough. No one was home at the time, according to North Kawartha Township fire chief Jesse Lambe.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted to assist in the investigation.
