Speaking at a campaign stop St. John’s, Nfld., Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau pledged to increase the Canada Child Benefit by 15 per cent for kids under the age of one, to make maternity and parental benefits tax-free, and to implement a program by 2021 to establish guaranteed paid family leave, if his party is re-elected in October.
