Officials said the State of Hawaii will order the National Guard to stand down and that police will not use force to remove peaceful protesters blocking a road to the summit of Hawaii’s Mauna Kea, where a US$1.4-billion telescope is being built. Protestors don’t want the project to be constructed because it would be built on a place considered sacred for some.
