Speaking in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said extreme weather events are only getting worse for Canadians, from flooding in the East to fires raging out of control in the Prairies, and that the government must invest in climate-resilient infrastructure in mitigation and adaptation for the fight against climate change.
