Air quality in Mississauga has been deemed safe after a massive fire on a scrapyard sent black smoke into the skies.

Emergency crews were able to get a 12-hour blaze at Eagle Tech Recycling on Mavis Road near Central Parkway West in Mississauga under control Thursday. Fire officials said the scrapyard contained tires and vehicles stacked on top of each other. Mark Carcasole explains.
