Is ‘Irregardless’ a real word? U of A linguistics expert weighs in on new dictionary addition

Just because something is common usage, does that mean it should be in the dictionary? Merriam-Webster recently added the word “irregardless,” so University of Alberta linguistics professor Dr. Herb Colston joined Global News at Noon to discuss it.
