Vernon landslide sweeps car into house; affects traffic and electrical service

Super soggy, sloping ground and the pull of gravity. It was destructive combination early Tuesday morning in Vernon. A landslide swept onto a road overlooking Okanagan Lake, toppling power poles, knocking out electrical service and causing extensive damage to a house and two vehicles. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
