‘Orange’ snow blankets countries across Eastern Europe

The unusual weather phenomenon, which experts say is caused by a cloud of sand from the Sahara desert passing over the Mediterranean sea and across Romania, affected several areas in the southeast of the country. Other countries in Eastern Europe including Russia, Bulgaria and Ukraine have also reported the phenomenon.
