Tories force MPs to pull all-nighter in filibuster over Atwal affair

MPs spent all-night voting after the Conservatives launched a filibuster in retaliation to a Tory motion being voted down, which called for Justin Trudeau’s national security adviser to testify at a House of Commons committee about the prime minister’s trip to India. The Conservative-led filibuster will force the Liberal government to incur a hefty overtime bill for Commons services, which could be equal to $50,000 an hour.
