Chaos as Vancouver residents scramble for free salt

Free salt arrived at several Vancouver fire stations Thursday morning and it took only a matter of minutes for it was all gone. Anxious residents scrambled to fill one small bucket of salt before it all disappeared. An unusual pattern of prolonged cold weather in Metro Vancouver has left salt in short supply.
