Canadian professor Homa Hoodfar is a free woman, released from an Iranian jail after more than three months in solitary confinement. Hoodfar’s case was complex because Canada and Iran don’t have a diplomatic relationship. So how was Ottawa able to secure her release? Vassy Kapelos reports.
