‘It’s very Walking Dead’: Rachel Notley on Fort McMurray

While walking through a fire-ravaged neighbourhood in Fort McMurray, Alberta Premier Rachel Notley told Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, MP Kent Hehr, and Fire Chief Darby Allen that the scenes of devastation and human abandonment were “very Walking Dead”, a reference to the hit AMC series about a post-apocalyptic zombie world.
