Seniors aged 70 and over have been able to get coverage under the Canadian Dental Care Plan since May 1 but only 9,000 oral health-care providers have signed up to provide care under the plan. Dental hygienists are now encouraging seniors to see them for treatment under the plan, but the president of the Alberta Dental Association is warning that might not be the best choice.
