Winnipeg Police Service chief Danny Smyth said on Friday police tactical teams managed to enter the suite an apartment on Furby Avenue where a man was holding a woman at knifepoint on Thursday. Smyth said the suspect is also a person of interest in a homicide in the same apartment earlier in December.
