Toronto Police Deputy Chief Lauren Pogue said on Friday that “in light of the ongoing events in the Middle East, the Toronto Police Service continues to be visibly present in communities across the city.” Pogue added in response to a video of an arrest of a protester after he allegedly attacked an officer that the “vast majority of the protests have been lawful,” but they are “seeing an increase by a very small number who are protesting with more antagonistic behaviour.”
