During a press conference on Wednesday, the RCMP said that Raj Kumar Mehmi of Surrey had his passport seized after being caught with 80 kg of cocaine. However, they said the 60-year-old successfully applied for a second passport and that prosecutors didn’t deem him a flight risk.
