The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement to residents of Gaza on Friday morning, advising them to “evacuate immediately,” ahead of a looming siege of the enclave, triggered by a surprise attack from Hamas last Saturday. In response to the call for evacuations, the World Health Organization (WHO) says it is a “death sentence” for residents of Gaza who are ill or critically injured and require hospital services.
