Surveillance camera footage released Wednesday of a fatal police shooting in Tennessee appears to show a white police officer chasing a black man and opening fire as he runs away from the officer.

Two police officers in Minnesota have been disciplined for a June incident in which a black man was severely injured after being kicked by an officer and bitten by a police dog.

Activist DeRay Mckesson sued police and the city of Baton Rouge on Thursday, saying officers responded in a "militarized and aggressive manner" in arresting him and others.
