TD says it reached a mutual agreement with First Horizon to terminate the acquisition because of the uncertainty as to when and if it would be able to obtain regulatory approval.

The virtual meeting is being convened by the Federal Reserve Board and the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which are reviewing the proposed US$13.4 billion deal.
