Police on Vancouver Island are hoping to find the owners of four art pieces that were among more than 1,000 recovered during an investigation into an Oak Bay art dealer in April.

Police say a Saanich art dealer promised to sell paintings for their owners but then cut off communication. Seized pieces include paintings by Emily Carr and David Blackwood.
