carya (formerly Calgary Family Services) has been here for Calgary since 1910, providing counselling and mental health support for youth, individuals, families, and older adults. If you are experiencing stress, anxiety, family conflict, or other mental health challenges, call us at 403.269.9888. carya will partner with you and your family to ensure that finances are not a barrier to accessing support.

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION:

CATHOLIC FAMILY SERVICE CALGARY:
Counselling services have been a mainstay at CFS since our inception. The belief that the benefits of counselling should be available to everyone regardless of income still holds true, which is why our counselling fees are based on what people feel they can afford to pay. CFS offers Rapid Access Counselling sessions for individuals, couples and families.

DISTRESS CENTRE CALGARY:
Distress Centre Calgary (DCC) has provided 24 hour crisis support in Calgary and southern Alberta since 1970. We do this through our 24 hour crisis line, email, daily chat, and daily text for our youth. We also have professional counselling for clients with issues that cannot be resolved over the phone.

YW CALGARY:
YW Calgary offers essential services for women and their families including shelter and housing, counselling, childcare, child development programs and employment and language support. Our Transitional Housing, Community Housing and Crisis Shelters continue to operate and provide critical supports to nearly 200 women and children every day who have nowhere else to turn. We have taken great strides to ensure all our residential spaces are safe, clean and well managed to deal with the challenges of the pandemic. Our crisis line is available 24/7 and will connect Calgarian’s to resources at YW and in the community. Our Domestic Violence Outreach team is also available to connect with women who are at risk of experiencing abuse directly in the community.

KIDS HELP PHONE:

Vecova continues to provide 24/7 safe, accessible and affordable living supports and mental health supports for persons with disabilities and complex needs. Many of these individuals have compromised immune systems and are more vulnerable.
