A pair of free throws put Marian ahead by a point with only one second remaining in regulation. With nothing to lose, Merryman took a shot from well beyond half-court – and watched as the ball sailed perfectly into the basket to give Huntington the win.

Since then, Merryman has been featured on ESPN, the Today Show, and Good Morning America.
