EDMONTON – An autopsy confirmed Tuesday that a suspicious death at the Aladdin Motel Sunday morning is a homicide.
Police responded to a call at the motel in the area of 111 Avenue and 154 Street at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
On scene, officers found the body of a man.
Police have not released the identity of the victim or any details about how he died, but confirm it was a homicide.
“When the call came in to police at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, many of the guests at the motel had already checked out,” explained Staff Sgt. Dave Christoffel, with the Edmonton Police Service. “We are asking anyone who may have seen something or heard something to come forward to police. Any information they have could help our investigation.”
This is Edmonton’s 22nd homicide of the year.
