EDMONTON – A 56-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after a boy was reportedly struck by a vehicle in south Edmonton Friday.
Police responded to a collision in the area of 12 Avenue and 62 Street around 7:00 p.m.
When they arrived, officers say an eight-year-old boy had been hit by a vehicle. The boy was treated on scene and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have arrested and charged 56-year-old Brian Anderson with impaired driving and impaired driving causing bodily harm.
The Major Collision Investigation Unit has now taken over the investigation.
