Man charged with fatal stabbing of Toronto international student

Police in Toronto have arrested a 25-year-old man and charged him in relation to a stabbing that killed an international student.

It was just after 7 p.m. on June 25, when police were alerted about a stabbing near Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Road. The stabbing came after an altercation in a parking lot.

Officers arrived to find a man with signs of trauma. He was rushed to hospital where he died.

Two days later, police identified the stabbing victim as Ifeanyichukwu Oseke, a 28-year-old international student from Nigeria.

On July 1, investigators said they had arrested the suspect they had been looking for. A 25-year-old man from Toronto was charged with second-degree murder.
