A man is dead after a stabbing in Toronto, police say.
Toronto police said the incident occurred at 12:22 p.m. on Friday in the Bellamy Road North and Lawrence Avenue East area.
Police said a man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Speaking at a press conference later on Friday, Toronto police Insp. Maher Abdel-Malik said the man was stabbed in the chest.

According to police, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officers said the force’s homicide unit has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
