That’s one reason the community of Delta is leading the way with high-tech crossings.

Using technology pioneered by a Victoria company, Delta has installed flashing LED technology at five separate intersections.

The lights are highly visible, especially from the driver’s point of view.

There are overhead flashing lights to compliment the active flashing LEDs embedded in the pavement.

These lights are rare in B.C., but can be found at more than 400 intersections in California.
